Cinnovate is originally a family business and was founded in 1988 by technical engineer Rob Dugour. Despite the growth, family values have always remained important within the company. The management of Cinnovate consists of three people with very different fields and specializations.
Our attention often goes to vulnerable groups within our society, for which technology can make a substantial contribution to improving their living conditions. With the setting up of the Cinnovate Technology Center Almere we go even one step further. We use our knowledge and skills for the most vulnerable people for whom no financially viable product developments are being made.
Corporate social responsibility is high on the agenda
Corporate social responsibility is high on the agenda at Cinnovate. This is largely due to the market in which we operate.
By being intensively involved in the development of technology focused on care, sustainability and safety, everyone within the organization quickly feels personally involved. This involvement is reflected in the CSR policy of Cinnovate. It stipulates that annually various civil society organizations are financially supported. These are organizations such as My Own Home Foundation, an organization that works for young people with a disability in realizing independent forms of living. They can also be clients such as Paladijn and WoonMere, for which it is often difficult to bring together enough budget every year for organizing activities.
The Cinnovate Technology Center Almere is another great example of Cinnovate's social involvement. With the Technology Center, Cinnovate actively participates in the HealthFactory of Almere; www.gezondheidfabriek.nl.
Cinnovate is the main sponsor of Forever Young Festival, the largest free festival in the Netherlands for people aged 65 and above. This is a festival where 10,000 seniors can enjoy music, theater, workshops, film and much more all day long; www.foreveryoungfestival.nl.
