Recognition without actions

In care facilities that work with safe zones, everything revolves around freedom of movement with safety. Residents can move freely within a zone that is tailored to their situation. Entering another zone normally requires an action: scanning a wristband or presenting a badge. But what if that were no longer needed?

Thanks to facial recognition technology, the system automatically recognises whether a resident is authorised to move freely between the different safe zones. No more actions, no more uncertainty – just walk through with a smile. This means: less frustration for residents and less workload for care staff.

Built on proven VAIBS technology

For facial recognition, we use VAIBS image recognition technology, a worldwide proven system that is already deployed at large scale across diverse sectors, including high-security environments. The software is known for its high reliability, speed and ease of use. Thanks to this solid foundation, we can offer care organisations a future-proof solution – without complex installations or lengthy onboarding processes.

Always personal and discreet

Privacy naturally comes first. The facial recognition works locally and securely. The software only compares known, encrypted faces of residents with consent. No facial data goes to the cloud, and recognition happens lightning fast – usually in less than a second.

Staff see immediately who is entering or trying to walk through. That provides not only safety, but also calm: whoever has access, walks through. Whoever needs support, gets it right away.

What does a care team notice of this in practice? A lot. No badges getting lost, no waiting times at doors, no manual checks – they have full control over the management of the system, and no more disoriented residents accidentally ending up outside their safe zone.
